John Forrest b. 1813 d. 1886 m. Helen Train b. 1813 d. 1865 had son William Forrest b. 1837

William Forrest b. 1837 m. Margaret Cameron, eldest son, John, b.1862 Coatbridge, Scotland d. 1940 . William's brothers and sisters included: 1. Richard b. 1840 d. 1923 m. Ellen Muir and had children: Helen, Janet, James, Richard, Jessie, Mary and Catherine

2. John b. 1836 d. 1874m. Marion Johnstone and had children: James m. Jane Robb, Mary Ann, John who lived in Steinhousmuir 3. Jamesb. 1843 4. Tom b. 1845 5. David b. 1848 m. Mary Forrest d/o John and Margaret Tennant Forrest- married at Browshott Farm, Carnwath, and had the following children: John m. Agnes Barr Weir, David, Margaret "Meg" , William, Helen m. Archie Patterson,and Mary "Polly" who was a retired ladies companion d. 1982 in Law Hospital and had resided at 75 Sand Road, Carluke; reported death by nephew, John who lived at 50 Milton Crescent, Carluke. 6. John came to the U.S.A. married Lottie Mae Pilling and upon her death married her sister, Edith Pilling. John had five children with Lottie: Anabel b. 27 Dec 1892 Pender, Thurston, Nebraska, our grandmother d. 1972 Seattle, Washington; Ashley b. 1881 d. 1955; Harold b. 1884 d. 1954; Edith b. 1886 d. 1974; and Maude b 1890. With Edith had two sons: Ronald b. 1898 and John K. b. 1904.
