I am a descendant of William LAIRD born, about 1823, in Old Monkland. He married Ellen HAIGE on 8 December 1844, in Old Monkland. She was born, 31 October 1826, in Edinburgh. They emigrated to Pennsylvania, USA in 1845. There children were born in Greengairs, They are, Ellen born 7 May 1844, James born 14 February 1846, George born 22 July 1849 and David born 6 November 1851. I am interested in finding the parents of William LAIRD and Ellen HAIGE.
