Iam desperately trying to find birth detail of my Grandfather Matthew Buchanan Poultney born in Glasgow in 1855 to Robert Poultney &May Poultney {nee Hamilton}whom I know lived in Coatbridge.Matthew worked at Dicksons Steel Mill as a Plumber and his Father Robert was an engineer .Information on these family members would help me in the further tracing of our family.I know the name originates from "Pulta Heath" in Leicestershire and there was a Sir william Poulteney whom the Township "Old Poulteney" in Caithness was named after and whether there is a link here would bein this line . Muchly appreciated Trevor
