My g-grandfather came from Ireland (farmer) in around 1850 to become a coal miner. His family were coal miners and the next generation. However, in the period 1900-1920 they came ("piecemeal) to the USA (Brooklyn/Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) In 1920 my father Edward Francis Gunn SR came to the US with his fiancee Rose Veronica Boyle following shortly after. The were married in St. Leo's Church in the Tacony section of Phila. My father's father was Edward Patrick and my mother's father was Patrick Boyle. They all lived in or around Coatbridge (e.g. Water Street, Merryston Square. .([email removed]) Jim Gunn
